Add links that deserve attention
The monitor checks backlinks you supply or import. It is not a web-wide discovery index. Add high-value editorial, partner, campaign, or customer links where a state change would justify action.

Interpret the state
Live means the link was observed. Lost means it disappeared from a reachable source. Error means the source could not be checked reliably. Redirected sources deserve inspection because the final page may still contain the link.

Join anchor and ranking evidence carefully
An anchor can support topical context, but it does not guarantee a ranking. Use the join to identify a useful relationship, then consider the destination page, competing results, and date of both measurements.
